We represent medical professionals facing disciplinary hearings or under investigation by the General Medical Council. If you are facing disciplinary action or are under investigation it is recommended you get in touch with an experienced tribunal defence solicitor as soon as possible. We can help to produce a robust strategy at the outset to best protect your interests. We will advise you every step of the way, from initial referral and investigation through to hearings, ensuring you are advised on the best tactical decisions to ensure the best outcome possible. Our solicitors are well-versed in Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service proceedings, providing defence in Interim Orders Hearings and Fitness to Practise hearings, as well as representation in appeals. We understand the stress that you may be going through when undergoing investigation or if you are facing disciplinary action or the potential loss or restriction of your ability to practise. We will do everything we can to see that you can stay in practice both during and after proceedings.
The General Medical Council’s purpose is to protect and promote the health and safety of the public by ensuring standards in the practice of medicine are met. Where there is an investigation into a complaint or incident, we can ensure your interests are protected at every stage. We will ensure the GMC are acting within their powers, and will do all we can to see that you can continue your profession while matters are being investigated.
