SCOTLAND’S police force has reversed its policy of rejecting officers who are colour-blind after The Glasgow Law Practice began a legal challenge.
A claim of sex discrimination was being made on behalf of a client of The Glasgow Law Practice who was turned down despite only having been diagnosed with a moderate form of the condition.
However, a few days before the claim was to be lodged, the client was contacted by Police Scotland who informed him after a review, they had decided to accept some officers with colour-blindness.
