Jacqueline is an associate in our Family Team and is based in our offices in Muirhead and Glasgow City Centre.
Jacqueline has over 20 years experience as a solicitor, with a broad civil court background from which she specialises in Family Law and in Adults with Incapacity. She has experience in all types of family actions, including actions of divorce, financial provision and actions for the residence of or contact with children. She is involved in substantial negotiations and discussions in relation to Minutes of Agreement dealing with financial provision and its resolution. She prepares for and attends court at all stages of procedure. She is a member of the Family Law Association.
Jacqueline has a particular interest in assisting families with the difficulties that can arise from the lack of legal capacity to make decisions for personal welfare or for financial matters. She undertakes work in relation to deeds of power of attorney, guardianships and all types of applications under the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000, including opposition to such applications. Jacqueline acts as a court appointed Safeguarder, and reports to the court in applications for guardianship in the Glasgow area.
