Increased Tribunal Pay-Outs From Next Month

 

By Stephen Smith, Employment Solicitor. The maximum amounts paid by employers in awards by the Employment Tribunal are going up on 1st February 2013.

For all dismissals after that date, the most which can be awarded will increase from the current figure of £85,200 to £87,700.

The maximum compensatory award for an unfair dismissal – generally made up of the lost wage due to the employer’s actions – is going up from £72,300 to £74,200.

And the maximum limit on a week`s pay, which is the figure used to calculate redundancy pay increases from £12,900 to £13,500.
