In The Press: GLP Property Manager Makes Waves in the Rutherglen Reformer

A Glasgow Law Practice property manager has featured in an exclusive interview with the Rutherglen Reformer offering advice to those looking to buy a property in the area.

Myra Costello, who started at GLP in the summer, has been making her mark in the Cambuslang office, and with the office expected to undergo a revamp under her supervision, it attracted attention from the local press.

Here is an extract of the feature that ran in the local newspaper:

GLP’s property manager, Myra Costello, says that developing the GLP estate agency offering in the area is a challenge that she is very much looking forward to.
The newly appointed property manager, who has previously worked with many large property companies, stated: “I am enjoying the idea of bringing a quality estate agency service to Cambuslang and building on the local knowledge of the property market that GLP has.
“The conveyancing solicitors know every street in the area having been buying and selling them for clients throughout the years.”
She added: “For me starting up in an area makes you focus more and listen to people more. We offer a personal service and can provide the best customer service to our clients.
“I know personally how stressful selling a home can be, and I really enjoy guiding people through the process and dealing with any issues or concerns they have. “
Myra has ambitious plans for the GLP estate agency offering.
“In the short-term we aim to get ourselves known so that local customers realise we are serious about estate agency in the Cambuslang and Rutherglen area.
“Our office here is well established in providing lots of legal services, and we are aiming to let people know that we are just as serious about the property side of the business.”
Myra`s appointment is not the only move by GLP to develop their estate agency offering in Rutherglen with an office revamp expected in 2016.
She said: “We are looking to revamp our office Cambuslang. We know there are a lot of agents out there but after our modern revamp hopefully, we can really stand out from everyone for other reasons than just our customer service.”
“Our experience allows us to know what people want – a quality service backed up with local knowledge. Many competitors don’t know the local market at all.”
Myra also warned those looking to buy or sell a property in Rutherglen of the dangers of using online estate agencies such as Easy Property saying: “A lot of online companies claim to offer the best, cheapest service with catchy phrases like “no sale no fee”.
“Nine times out of ten everybody needs someone who can look at something impartially, can be honest and can act as a go-between when buying or selling a property, online estate agency doesn’t offer such a service or any local knowledge.
“The highest sale prices are achieved through comprehensively knowing the local market and that is where we come in.
“At the Glasgow Law Practice we only stick with facts and figures and always do our best for our clients.
She added: “For me when you get the best price you can get for a client and have helped them throughout the whole process, it is a great feeling.”
