On 5th August 2011, the Solicitor General announced the creation of a team of specialists who will act as Football Liaison Prosecutors (FLPs). This followed a successful trial of a Football Liaison Prosecutor in Glasgow, as recognised in the recent Scottish Government evaluation of Football Banning Orders.
